German President Heinrich Luebke presented 57 winners of medals at the Olympic Games in Squaw Valley and Rome with the Silver Medal Laurel on Friday, December 9th, 1960. The Silver Laurel is the highest decoration in German Sport. OPS The Federal President giving the Silver Laurel to Georg Thoma of the Black Forest who won the gold medal in the north combination during the Olympic Games in Squaw Valley. In the center the press reviewer to the Federal President, Readerscheid who is looking as if he would envy the sportsman for the silver Laurel.  - ZUMAk09
