  • News Bilder des Tages General view of an eruption of Popocatepetl volcano taken from the population of xalitzintla, in the state of Puebla, Mexico, 29 June 2019. Since yesterday at 23:26 h (04.26 GMT), the monitoring system of the Popocatépetl volcano recorded an explosion accompanied by an ash emission that reached an approximate height of 1.5 km towards the southwest and incandescent fragments thrown into a distance of the crater of 1 km. At the moment, a continuous emission is observed that disperses in the southwest direction, reason why there is the probability of slight ash fall towards this sector.
