Nov. 24, 2012 - Studenka, Belarus - BELARUS, Studenka.Military history buffs and re-enactors, dressed in the uniform of Russian and French armies in 1812, participate in the formulation of the battle to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Napoleon s army retreat from Russia and the crossing of the Berezina River near the village of Studenka, about 85 kilometers from Minsk, 24 November 2012 year. Around 50,000 people, soldiers from both sides and civilians, were killed during the crossing. In total, nearly half a million soldiers, from France, as well as all of the vassal states of Europe, invaded Russia in June 1812. By the end of December 2012 by the Grand Army of Napoleon left about 10,000 people. - ZUMAb11
