A pair of scrappy USAF F-86 Sabre jets thrust upward from the runway under the terrific drive from their powerful jet engines. Assigned to the Fifth Air Force s veteran 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing in Korea, Sabre jets are responsible for keeping enemy air power swept from Korean skies. In this task, 4th Fighter Wing pilots in less than one year of operations against MIG-15 jet fighters had destroyed or damaged more than 225 hostile MIGs, with extremely light losses to themselves.
