Orig. caption... AUTOS WILL SOON ROLL OVER FRISCO BAY and here s the way automobiles will be entering San Francisco, after Nov. 12, 1936, when the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, world s largest span, will open to traffic. The view, taken from the suspension tower, shows paving forms laid in the center lane, and floor steel in place for the upper deck which will carry six lanes of automobile traffic. The lower deck will accommodate two interurban train tracks, and three lanes for trucks. The San Francisco waterfront, over which the bridge passes is in the foreground, with the business section to the right. Twin Peaks to the rear, and in the distance, the Golden Gate. The bridge will be eight and one-quarter miles long, and cost $77,200,0 Copyright: xx SAN FRANCISCO-OAKLAND BAY BRIDGE
