  • Orig. caption... 7TH ARMY CELEBRATE CAPTURE OF NUREMBERG. Less than 24 hours after the capture of Nuremberg, men of the 7th Army raised the Stars and Stripes in the Adolf Hitler Platz in the old part of the city, surrounded by ruins which still amouldered. Lt. General Alexander Patch, Commander-in-Chief of the 7th Army personally thanked the men who made the spectacular capture. Picture shows: The troops who helped to capture Nuremberg double out of the Adolf Hitler Platz, after passing the saluting base after the ceremony. Note.
