The German-Burkinabe architect, Diébédo Francis Kéré, at the opening of the new Goethe-Institut in Dakar, Senegal, on 16 April 2026. The building’s designer, Francis Kéré, winner of the Pritzker and Aga Khan architecture prizes, sought to highlight sustainable architecture using local materials (earth, laterite) that offer bioclimatic solutions suited to Dakar’s climate. Designed as an open and inclusive space, the new Goethe-Institut in Dakar aims to make the venue a new hub for creativity and intercultural dialogue in West Africa. It will host cultural, educational and artistic activities. - 16 04 2026 - Senegal Dakar District Dakar - Nicolas Réméné Le Pictorium 331980
