Protests by workers of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) continue as they demand a salary increase and the removal of their union leader, Rafael Olivos Hernandez. The march began at the Siglo XXI Hospital. Union leadership stated that protests and blockades will continue outside hospitals and clinics belonging to this government agency; these blockades are scheduled to take place after the workers shifts have ended, so as not to negatively impact IMSS beneficiaries.
